Marc Payette

Marcus (Marc) Joseph Payette was born 10/16/1991 in Dover, N.H. He died 8/1/2009 in an motor vehicle accident in Rowan County, west of Salisbury, N.C.

He is the son of JoAnn Cross of Salisbury, NC and David M. Payette of Maine.

A senior at West Rowan High School, he was employed by Lazy 5 Veterinary Hospital and was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle.A member of the North Carolina Bowhunters Association, Marc loved to hunt, ride his dirt bike and loved the outdoors.

Preceding him in death was grandfather John W. Cross and grandmother Florence Cross of New York.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by stepmother June Payette of Maine; brother Jonathan Payette; greanparents Rita and Emile Payette of Dover, N.H., Tosca Twitchell of New York; aunts Vivian Zagrobski (Walt) and Kathy Payette (Richard Cross); uncle George Payette (Jane); great-aunts Stella Pollard of New York and Norma Liberatore of South Carolina; and numerous cousins and friends. Marc is also survived by his step-family, Jesse and Amber Miller, their son Alex Johnny Miller, Jr. and Sarah Miller.

The Rev. Steve Holshouser officiated at his memorial service which was held at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "North Carolina Bowhunters Association / Memorial Endowment Fund"; 7796 NC Hwy 68 N.; Stokesdale, NC 27357; or West Rowan High School, Masonry Club; 8050 N.C. 801; Mount Ulla, NC 28125.

NOTE: Interest from donations to this fund will go to the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) at West Rowan High School.
